February 26, 2009 -- For about nine months I've been working as a guest curator for the non-profit art gallery ATHICA. The exhibit I organized, called "Running on Empty: the fossil fuel addiction" opened on January 31 and runs through March 22. It has been a dream come true to combine my passion for environmental issues with my enthusiasm for the visual arts. And to cap it all off, I'll be performing in the space this Saturday. Check out the artwork and my catalog essay at the gallery website.

January 15, 2008 -- For the last year I've been working on the steering committee for a global warming awareness event, called Focus The Nation. Our event in Athens will be one of a 1,000 happening nationwide on January 31 with the goal of prioritizing climate change solutions for Congress and the presidential candidates. Check out Focusthenation.org for more.

July 15, 2007 -- So, It's been a while since the last update. Been laying kind of low. Good news is the Fair Shake studio is finished after months and months of construction! Bad news: We bid fairwell to longtime superdrummer, Jason Cheek, who moved to Nashville. (Good luck Jason.) But we got some good tracks out of him before he left. I know I've been promising it for a while, but work is underway again on the new album. More soon...I hope. Take care.

Dec. 4, 2006 -- The end of the year is approaching. It's been a good one. We've met some great people and played some fun shows. We've got one more lined up before the new year, and it will be the first with Derek McTavish – new bass player for the Fair Shakes. We're thrilled to have him on board, and we hope to see you soon.

Listen to 3 new tracks from the next CD on Myspace!

Sept. 17, 2006 -- Well, it was a great summer and a good break from performing. However, we are back in the swing of things again and will be playing primarily in Athens for the foreseeable future. Sorry to say that the rest of the new album didn't record itself this summer! I guess I'll have to take a little more of a proactive approach to finishing that up. We've got some great shows coming up. Hope to see you.

April 13, 2006 -- Thanks to everyone who came out for the show at Farm 255. It was an incredible night -- close to 200 people at the end of the first set! I'm going back into the studio tomorrow to finish 3 new tracks, and I hope to have them available for preview soon. Take care and thanks again!

April 7 & 8 -- Athens Weekend! The second weekend in April will be a big one for the band here in Athens. We're performing live on WUGA's 'It's Friday' program at 4 p.m. Friday (91.7 FM), followed by two sets Saturday night at Farm 255 (10 p.m.) If you're in Athens, please tune in or listen on the web and come out to the show. We'll be on the outdoor stage, if the weather is nice and it's gonna be a big time.

February 2006 -- Big News! Recording for the next CD is underway. Plans are for a full-length album with the whole band to be released this summer. We've had a couple of incredible sessions already at DARP studios in Atlanta with engineer, Graham Marsh. I hope to have some sample tunes available soon.
